Welcome to the 11th edition of the DIN-ECO newsletter! We are thrilled to share our recent activities aimed at fostering innovation and entrepreneurial spirit within Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). This edition targets students, academia, entrepreneurs, experts, and stakeholders. Let’s dive into the highlights.
Join us at the Pioneering Stakeholder Engagement Event
We are excited to announce our upcoming Stakeholder Engagement Event in June 2024. This pioneering event will bring together academia, industry, and government representatives to strengthen partnerships and foster a collaborative environment for innovation. Participants can look forward to interactive discussions, sharing best practices, and exploring future collaboration opportunities. This event underscores DIN-ECO’s commitment to integrating HEIs into European innovation ecosystems.
We are excited to announce the opening of the EIT Digital Athens Office, a significant milestone in expanding our innovation network. The new office serves as a hub for digital innovation, offering resources and support to startups and researchers.
The launch event featured keynote speeches from industry leaders and showcased cutting-edge digital solutions developed by local innovators. This initiative aligns with DIN-ECO’s goal of enhancing digital entrepreneurship within HEIs.
The 2nd DIN-ECO Hackathon, held in December 2023, was a resounding success, bringing together 11 teams from various universities to pitch innovative ideas in digital technologies, health, and manufacturing. Students presented their proposals, matched with real business cases provided by participating companies.
The event fostered creativity and practical problem-solving, with winning teams earning opportunities to attend the Spring School in Poland and other DIN-ECO training programs.
