During Phase 1 of the DIN-ECO project, one of the key achievements was establishing and expanding structures within Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to enhance students’ digital skills and capacities in innovation and entrepreneurship. This was a crucial step in ensuring that students are equipped with the necessary knowledge and tools to thrive in the digital age and contribute to the growth of the European digital economy.
During Phase 1 of the DIN-ECO project saw the successful implementation of critical steps towards enhancing students’ digital skills and capacities in innovation and entrepreneurship. In Phase 2, these achievements will be expanded upon by fostering collaboration between HEIs, including HEI KIC (Higher Education Institutes and Knowledge and Innovation Community).
DIN-ECO has made significant progress towards achieving its vision for high-quality, inclusive, and accessible digital innovation in Europe. This would not have been possible without our partners’ dedication and hard work!
DIN-ECO: Making Strides at Innovent Forum
In February 2023, the DIN-ECO project had the opportunity to showcase its progress and goals at the Innovent Forum, an exhibition of innovation and technology held at JOIST Innovation Park. As the coordinator of the DIN-ECO project, Ionian University was proud to promote the project achievements of Phase 1 and the aspirations for Phase 2 to attendees, including startups, research institutions, public bodies, and venture capitals.
The Innovent Forum was an excellent opportunity for the DIN-ECO team to connect with potential partners and build the necessary networks to ensure success in the project’s next phase. The contacts established during the event will be a foundation for the partnerships needed to achieve the project’s ambitious goals.
Through its participation in the Innovent Forum, the DIN-ECO project raised awareness of its mission and engaged with key players. The project’s vision aligns perfectly with the growing interest in digital innovations and social responsibility.
DIN-ECO Expectations for Phase 2
After the successful implementation of phase for the DIN-ECO team 1 in DIN-ECO, phase 2 is here to enrich the educational processes and add extra value to the development of an ecosystem of entrepreneurship and innovation in HEIs.
In particular, the main objectives of this phase are to conduct seminars on specialized topics by entrepreneurs or business experts, hackathons on digital innovation, seminars for academic or
Non-academic staff in terms of innovation and technology transfer, mentoring actions on digital innovation and transformation and team building for stakeholders networking, and digital expo for entrepreneurial networking. Moreover, the organization of publicity events for more and more people to get to know the project’s actions will enhance the achievement of synergies with education boards and associations.
